The Board of Directors of the Skylands Emmaus Community is here to serve you, in the name of Christ. If you have any questions about the community or its activities, click one of the names below to send an email.

  Community Lay Director:  Don Schulz leads the Board, chairs the monthly Board meetings, and acts as a focal point for issues that come before the community.

  Assistant Community Lay Director:  Stephen Yeske assists the Community Lay Director as needed, and provides support if the Lay Director is not available.

  Community Spiritual Director:  Nancy Cooke represents the clergy side of the leadership of the community. She/He acts as a liaison between the community and the clergy servants.

   Assistant Community Spiritual Director:  Innica Humphry and McWilliam Colon serve as a clergy members who assist and support the Community Spiritual Director as needed.

  Secretary: Griselda Powell as Secretary, she/he records the meeting minutes, sends copies of the minutes to the Board for approval, and maintains the written records of the community.

  Treasurer:  Mark Halverson handles all the contributions received by the community and is responsible for all expenditures. She/he provides a monthly financial report to the Board, and manages the community’s online payment services.

  Agape for Weekends: Carol Baker ensures that all weekend Agape teams of the Walk to Emmaus are equipped and prepared. All members of the community who would like to contribute to this effort should contact her/him.

  Agape International:  Carol Baker  receives and distributes letters of agape love to and from other Emmaus communities throughout the world. If you know of other communities with whom we should be sharing greetings, please contact her/him.

  Chrysalis/SEARCH:  (OPEN) is our liaison with the Chrysalis movement for young Christian adults, and with SEARCH for youth looking for spiritual direction.

  Community DevelopmentStephen Yeske is the person to contact regarding scheduling presentations of “What is Emmaus” to churches who may be unfamiliar with the ministry. 

  Community Training Coordinator: Nanette Fandino-Diaz  Is responsible for all training, seminars, including Fourth Day Insights (required for those interested in working on an Emmaus team) and Sponsorship Training (required for all those who would like to sponsor a pilgrim for a Walk to Emmaus). Contact her/him to check on upcoming training sessions.

  Facilities:  McWilliam Colon arranges for locations and dates of upcoming Walk to Emmaus Weekends, as well as managing other facilities such as storage.

  Gatherings: McWilliam Colon arranges the locations and speakers for monthly community Gatherings. Contact her/him if you are interested in giving a Fourth Day witness.

  Hospitality: (OPEN) Is responsible for all refreshments, as well as setup and clean-up at Gatherings and other Emmaus events.

  Sponsor’s Hour/Candlelight: (OPEN) organizes the community for Walk Weekend Sponsor’s Hour and Candlelight.

  Group Reunions:  Tracy Allen Is the keeper of the list of reunion groups. If you are looking for a reunion group in your area or online, please CLICK HERE. If you are part of a reunion group not on the list, please click on her/his name to email the details (Location, data/time, leader name and contact).

  Team Selection:  Nanette Fandino-Diaz chairs the Team Selection committee. This committee reviews applications and selects the team members for upcoming Walk-to-Emmaus weekends.

   Literature: Carla Sasso Orders all the Emmaus literature, books and other reading material available to the community.

  Music: Nancy Cooke Is the leader of the musicians for Gatherings, Walks to Emmaus, and team meetings. If you have song suggestions, or would like to play with the Emmaus musicians, please email her/him by clicking on their name.

  Registration: Mark Warner handles all the applications for those who are interested in attending a Walk to Emmaus weekend. Forms for pilgrims, sponsors, and scholarships can be found on the “Training & Forms” page.

  Website Administration: Janet Saulter-Hemmer has responsibility for all website content and document management related to the SWTE website.

  Database Administrator: Janet Saulter-Hemmer General information for all members of the Emmaus community is kept in our Emmaus Ministry Manager database.  Please make sure all of your personal information particularly your email address and any other contact information is current.   eMail Blast Communication: Janet Saulter-Hemmer manages our MailChimp email blast account. Please send her any information which should be sent to all members. Our mailing list is currently approximately 600 people.

  Newsletter: Greg Crawford assembles and designs the Newsletter sharing upcoming walks, events or news flashes to the community. Click on her/his name to send an email with any announcements you’d like included in the next Newsletter.

  Prayer Chain: Innica Humphry manages an email prayer chain. If you have a prayer concern to lift up to the community or would like to be added to the prayer chain, click on her/his name to send an email request.
